The drive from Antwerp to Brussels Airport is about 43 kilometres and takes around 36 minutes without traffic. The usual route follows the Antwerp ring road (R1) and the E19 towards Mechelen and Brussels. If you live on the left bank (Linkeroever), you first go through the Kennedy tunnel. During the morning and evening peaks, traffic on the R1 and the Brussels ring (R0) regularly comes to a standstill, so we allow extra time then. If you fly early in the morning, you usually drive ahead of the rush. If you would rather go to Eindhoven, Schiphol or Düsseldorf, the online calculation gives you the fixed price for those rides as well.
Why take a taxi instead of the train?
Even when a train runs from Antwerpen-Centraal to the airport, you first have to get to the station with your suitcases, use stairs or lifts, wait on the platform and then walk through the terminal on arrival.
